The call for platforms for the JETAA Canada’s Country Representative has begun and we’re looking for interested candidates!

The Canada country representative (CR) is the primary point of contact to Canada’s various chapters, and represents our country at the JETAA-International level, as required. See this PDF for further details on the Canada Rep’s responsibilities.

JETAABC is excited to invite high school students learning Japanese to participate in the Metro Vancouver Japan Bowl. The Japan Bowl® is a Japanese language and culture competition for high school students who are studying Japanese. Call for Nikkei Matsuri Volunteers

The Nikkei Matsuri, one of Canada’s largest authentic and family-friendly Japanese festivals, returns to Nikkei Centre in Burnaby this summer for its 10th anniversary! The Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre needs support to make this event a success.

Please sign up for a shift or two and be part of this unique celebration on September 3 & 4, 2022.

It’s that time of year again! Celebrating Japanese-Canadian Culture for 46 years, the Powell Street Festival is Vancouver’s longest community arts celebration! You can be a part of this year’s festival taking place July 30th and 31st.

This year’s Pre-Departure Orientation will take place back in person, and we need your help to send the new JETs off right!

We are planning for:

Saturday, June 25th at BCIT Downtown Vancouver Campus – Atrium, Rm 825 (555 Seymour Street, Vancouver), and
Sunday, June 26th at SFU – Wosk Centre for Dialogue, Rm 420 (580 West Hastings Street, Vancouver).

2021/22 Alumni Mentor Programme & J-Link Canada

The 2021/22 Alumni Mentor Programme is a private list of JET alumni in BC who can provide insight into the current job market in their industry, give guidance to new/”old” returnees in their career transition, and maybe even speak on a JETAABC Careers Panel.
