Call for 2022 Pre-Departure Orientation Volunteers

This year’s Pre-Departure Orientation will take place back in person, and we need your help to send the new JETs off right!

We are planning for:

Saturday, June 25th at BCIT Downtown Vancouver Campus – Atrium, Rm 825 (555 Seymour Street, Vancouver), and
Sunday, June 26th at SFU – Wosk Centre for Dialogue, Rm 420 (580 West Hastings Street, Vancouver).

After two years of Covid, the JETAABC Sempai Program is back in person! This is a mentorship initiative where new JETs are matched with JET alumni volunteers to provide the new JET with local knowledge about his/her new home.

JETAABC is excited to invite high school students learning Japanese to participate in the Metro Vancouver Japan Bowl. The Japan Bowl® is a Japanese language and culture competition for high school students who are studying Japanese. 2021/22 Alumni Mentor Programme & J-Link Canada

The 2021/22 Alumni Mentor Programme is a private list of JET alumni in BC who can provide insight into the current job market in their industry, give guidance to new/”old” returnees in their career transition, and maybe even speak on a JETAABC Careers Panel.
